The Hydra combines the functionality of a swivel pulley with the attachment options of a rigging plate. The Hydra can be useful in many different applications, from being a smooth rolling attachment point on your rope bridge, to making a fantastically efficient and adaptable lanyard adjuster.The Hydra weighs less than 20oz and is milled from T6 aluminium. Its three attachment points are rubber lined to hold carabiners snugly and prevent cross-loading. One downside to the Hydra Pulley is the lack of swinging side plates making it impossible to attach mid-line. The Hydra should only be used with energy absorbing systems such as dynamic ropes, energy absorbers, etc. and slack must be kept out of the system to prevent high impact falls. It is intended for use by medically fit, specifically trained and experienced users.
