Replacement American hickory handle from the Link Handle company (Now a division of Seymour Mfg). American hickory is dense, tough and a naturally shock absorbent, making it ideal for striking and cutting tool handles. The long fibers and unique cell structure of American hickory allow it to flex repeatedly and return to its original shape. It absorbs and dissipates shock before it reaches the user's hands. Handle comes uncoated and unfinished, with a rough pattern around the top. Handle comes complete with wooden wedge for installation.
Note: The Krueger racing axe handle is specifically designed for competition racing axes. It is made of quartersawn hickory and comes in an unsanded, rough finish. It is designed to be mounted and finished by the user to their specific preferences.

Overall Length 31.5" Eye Type Teardrop Eye Length 2.75" Eye Width 1.0" Important Handle Information All measurements above are approximate, and can vary slightly from handle to handle, as wood shrinks and swells due to grain structure, moisture content and humidity. Axe handle manufacturing produces a wide variety of handles with different grain patterns and colors. We only offer premium grade handles from top manufacturers, but each wooden handle is a unique product, which will perform in its own unique way. Handle Replacement Instructions To replace a wooden handle, first clean the eye thoroughly. Store the handle overnight in a warm, dry room to ensure dryness. Fit the new handle with a rasp or sandpaper. The handle should be driven tight into head. Drive the wooden wedge into the cut slot as deep as possible, and saw the extra wood (both handle and wedge) flush with the head. |
